       In May, the global primary aluminum output increased by 3.64% month-on-month to 5.805 million tons, and the primary aluminum output in April was 5.601 million tons; a year-on-year increase of 0.43%, and the output in the same period last year was 5.780 million tons. From January to May 2022, global primary aluminum production totaled 27.972 million tons, down 0.69% year-on-year, compared with 28.165 million tons in the same period last year. In May, China's primary aluminum output reached 3.42 million tons, a month-on-month increase of 3.89%. In April, primary aluminum output was 3.292 million tons; a year-on-year increase of 1.94%, and the output in the same period last year was 3.355 million tons. From January to May 2022, China's primary aluminum output reached 16.302 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 0.52%. The output in the same period last year was 16.387 million tons.

The output of electrolytic aluminum in May was 3.423 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.1%; the cumulative output from January to May was 16.395 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 0.3%. The output of aluminum products in May was 5.356 million tons, down 5.5% year-on-year; the cumulative output from January to May was 24.519 million tons, down 1.7% year-on-year. In May, the output of aluminum alloy was 1.027 million tons, an increase of 16.2% year-on-year; the cumulative output from January to May was 4.514 million tons, an increase of 8.4% year-on-year.

       In the first five months of this year, the import of unwrought aluminum through the Manzhouli port increased by 59.1%

       According to the statistics of Manzhouli Customs, in the first five months of this year, 26,000 tons of unwrought aluminum were imported through Manzhouli Port, an increase of 59.1% compared with the same period of the previous year (the same below); the value was 470 million yuan, an increase of 71.9%. Among them, in May, the import of unwrought aluminum through the Manzhouli port was 12,000 tons, which was the same as the same period last year; the value was 190 million yuan, down 0.6%. Imports increased rapidly in May, and the import volume reached the peak since June last year.
