Application

Properties of aluminum:
Light weight: the specific gravity is 2.7 at about 20 degrees at room temperature. The specific gravity at a temperature of 700 degrees is 2.373. The proportion of 99.5% aluminum content is: 2.71 The density is about 1/3 of that of ordinary metals.
Soft quality: Pure aluminum is very soft and not strong, but has good ductility, can be drawn into filaments and rolled into foils, and is widely used in wire, cable, and packaging industries.
Conductivity: The conductivity of aluminum is two-thirds that of copper, and the density is one-third. Therefore, compared with the same quality and length of aluminum wire and copper wire, the conductivity of aluminum is twice that of copper, and the price is low . Therefore, outdoor high-voltage lines are mostly made of aluminum, which saves costs.
Thermal conductivity: The thermal conductivity of aluminum is 3 times greater than that of iron. Various heat exchangers and heat dissipation materials are commonly made of aluminum in industry. Many cooking utensils used in households are also made of aluminum.
Compared with iron, it is not easy to rust and prolongs its service life; it is glossy: aluminum powder has a silvery white luster. Because aluminum burns in oxidation, it can emit dazzling white light and release heat, so it is often used as an explosive mixture.
Others: Pure aluminum melting point is 660 degrees Celsius. The melting point of 99.5% aluminum is 655 degrees. The boiling point of aluminum is 2060 degrees. In the metallurgical industry, aluminum is used as a deoxidizer in the steelmaking industry. The smooth aluminum plate has good reflective properties and is used to make reflectors.
